Students transferring from CCRI should make an appointment with a transfer counselor well in advance of their intended date of transfer. Students are strongly advised to review the information contained in this guide about transferring to RIC and URI (below), and, especially, the general education requirements sections (Section 1). Students are also encouraged to contact the institution(s) to which you plan to transfer. CCRI students who have completed between 24 and 30 credits with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 may be eligible for acceptance into the Special Programs for Talent Development at the University of Rhode Island. In addition, to be eligible, students must attend a presentation by a Talent Development recruiter and be interviewed for acceptance into the program.
