INFORMATION REGARDING THE SAWYER SCHOOL
Please be sure to check this web page frequently, as this office will be making daily updates to this information as it is developed.
The Rhode Island Office of Higher Education has learned that the Sawyer School has ceased operations in Rhode Island. Our office intends to work closely with representatives from the Sawyer School in an effort to ensure adequate protection and release of student records.
Lincoln Technical Institute (LTI) has graciously agreed to do all that it can appropriately do to provide transfer opportunities to the displaced students of the Sawyer School. That process will begin with the necessary due diligence effort on the part of the LTI to review for interested Sawyer School students the academic transcripts and financial records as they become available. As of 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning, January 4, 2013, Sawyer School students are invited to contact Amy Watson from the admission office at Lincoln Technical Institute at 401-334-2430
In the meantime, the Office of Higher Education has set up a hotline for students at 401-277-5282. (Please note that this represents a change from the original hotline number and was effective as of Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.)
